Brake pads wear down over time, and when they do, they can lead to an error code in the engine called 'brake fault' the noise can also be caused by an issue with the engine which will cause it to vibrate as well the steering wheel vibration can be caused by many things such as the brake pads wearing out and causing the vibration, or the steering linkage being loose and creating noise that is transferred to the steering wheel. As we can see from this example, old brake pads are a common car problem that can lead to a serious engine error.
It can be due to many reasons like lack of maintenance, wear and tear, or faulty parts worn out or low air in tires: low air pressure or worn out tires can cause the brakes to drag and create an uneven surface which will make the brake pedal pulsate. When the brakes are applied, the sound should be a steady hum from the wheels and not an eardrum-piercing screech.
C0170 Brake Fault Diagnosis :
The brake system in a car consists of many components that work together to stop the car if none of these things sound like they could be your problem, then it might be time to take your car into a shop and have them diagnose it for you if you don't see any visible signs of wear, then you'll want to move on and check the calipers for a clog in the lines or a loose hose clamp that could be causing air bubbles in your system.. If the brakes are not working properly, it can be dangerous to drive.
